In-Text or Parenthetical Citation


To use someone else's exact words is to quote. It is perfectly fine to use quotes in your papers, but you must

  1. put quotation marks at the beginning and the end of the quote (long quotes are handled differently)
  2. indicate who wrote the quote and where you found it.
